Harley Waxing: The history of our company:
At Harley Waxing, we are a proud family company. Since the 1980’s, when we set up our office and warehouse in rural England Somerset, UK, we have been striving to deliver the very best products on the market.
How did the Harley Waxing story begin?
We have distributed beauty products internationally for over 30 years. My wife, Karan, had several beauty salons and we could see the potential in this fast-growing market. I sold up my other business and we joined forces to establish our own company - Harley Waxing. We were sellers of a European skincare brand and that was great for a while. But we found we were getting frustrated with inconsistencies in supply, as well as quality. That is when we made the decision that led us to where we are today. We wanted to manufacture our own product, right here in the UK, and we have never looked back. Since the early days, our products have evolved, but our family-run ethos has stayed the same. Our directors and team members are loyal and committed, with some staying with the company more than 21 years now. Just like our customers, our team members join us and stay because they love what we do. Customers will get the benefit of all that experience every time they make a call to speak to Harley Waxing wether it’s in the UK or USA!
Where are Harley Waxing products manufactured?
Our manufacturing plant is based in Surrey, England. We have a fantastic team where we know quality is top priority through every stage - from sourcing and production through to packaging and supply. Our products we are told are the best on the market. With the expertise of the therapists who are so loyal to Harley Waxing, it is hard to beat a waxing treatment with our wax. Our aim is simple: to make waxing a pleasurable experience, not a painful one. We are genuinely proud
that we can make a difference to how people feel: more confident, more relaxed. We only sell to trained therapists and salon owners, so we know our products are being used by highly skilled people.
During 2019 Harley realized having family living and working in Charlotte,NC that North America would be an exciting beauty market to launch our complete range of products into as the products are formulated to work with all skin types.
During 2019 a subsidiary company was set-up with Harley Beauty Wax CEO daughter as managing director USA . Office and storage facilities are located in Concord, NC with sub-distributors based in Washington, New Mexico and Florida.
Although Harley is always looking for partners based in other states Harley feel with this network of dedicated professionals distribution can be managed throughout the USA comfortably. Our USA Team and UK back up facility has combined 120 years experience to offer new and experienced businesses based throughout North America. Harley Beauty Wax USA remains dedicated to employing local team members from varied backgrounds working as support staff to USA Managing Director Nicole Ransley.
What’s next for Harley Waxing?
Harley is about to introduce to USA a range of dedicated waxing products to be used within the home environment for before and after visiting a beauty salon for a professional waxing experience. This range of products will be distributed from our Concord office facility not far from Charlotte. Of course due to the lock down these plans have been delayed but will stay in all forward looking plans for the hopefully near future. It should be noted Harley Beauty Wax is available throughout 21 countries. It should also be remembered the Harley brand has been operating for close to thirty years in the UK and plans to be around for many more years to come as a family run business in the USA.
